Roberts Pest Control
Frequently Asked Questions
Got Questions? We've Got Answers.
Below are the most common questions we hear from St. Louis area homeowners and business owners. If you don't see your question here, give us a call — we're always happy to help.
How much does pest control cost?
Pricing depends on the type of pest, severity of the infestation, and size of your property. We provide free inspections and honest quotes — no pressure, no hidden fees. Call us for a personalized estimate.
Do I need to be home during treatment?
For most exterior treatments, no. Our R.O.S. (Regular Outside Service) program treats the perimeter of your home and can be done while you're away. Interior treatments and specialty services like bed bug heat treatment do require someone to be present.
Are your treatments safe for kids and pets?
Yes. We prioritize exterior treatments that create a barrier before pests enter your home, minimizing indoor chemical exposure. When interior treatment is necessary, we use targeted applications in cracks, crevices, and harborage areas — not broadcast spraying.
What areas do you serve?
We serve the greater St. Louis metro area including Jefferson County, St. Louis County, St. Charles County, St. Francois County, Ste. Genevieve County, and Washington County. See our full service area.
How quickly can you come out?
We offer same-week appointments for most services. For urgent situations, call us directly and we'll do our best to accommodate you as quickly as possible.
How does bed bug heat treatment work?
We use professional heat equipment to raise the temperature throughout the infested area above 120°F (peaking at 135-145°F) with a sustained hold for cavity absorption. This eliminates bed bugs and eggs in every hiding spot simultaneously. You sleep in your own bed that night — pest-free.
Do you offer termite inspections?
Yes — free termite inspections with no obligation. We'll check your home's foundation, crawl spaces, and common entry points, then recommend the right protection plan if needed.
How long does a German roach cleanout take?
Our cleanout is a multi-phase process. The initial treatment achieves significant knockdown on day one, followed by weekly visits using rotating chemistries until complete elimination is confirmed. Most cleanouts resolve within 4-6 weeks depending on severity.
When does mosquito season start in Missouri?
Mosquito activity typically begins in March and runs through October. Our program starts with larvicide installation in March to get ahead of the spring hatch, then adds monthly barrier treatments through October.
